Refund policy

Returns for Physical Items

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return for physical items. We do not charge restocking fees.

We only issue full refunds for items returned in new, unused condition. We do not offer partial refunds for items not returned in their original condition. In rare, exceptional cases, and solely at our discretion, we may approve one. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, i.e. unopened, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. We do not accept returns on items that have been opened or used.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (defective or incorrect item). Please ensure items are securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping. We are not responsible for items damaged during return transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your receipt. Please note that we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items, and we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

If your return is accepted, you may ship the item back to us in its original condition. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Once the item is received, we will inspect it. If it meets the return criteria, we will issue a full refund.

Returns for Digital Items

Digital products (such as downloadable files, ebooks, or online workshops) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded, because they are immediately accessible and cannot be returned. If you have trouble accessing your purchase, please contact us at info@lightanddarkacu.com and we’ll be happy to assist.

 

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please take clear photos of the item and its packaging as you received it, to help us assess the issue.

 

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), customized products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products) which have been opened or used. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. 

 

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If you would like to exchange an item you are returning for a store credit or for another item, please let us know when you contact our store about the return.

 

European Union 14 Day Cooling Off Period

If the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason, without the need to provide justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

 

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days, unless you have requested an exchange or store credit.  Most refunds are processed within 5–10 business days, but it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to finalize posting the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us via the email listed below.  We will always confirm by email once your refund has been processed.
