Details

Evil Bone Water is for external use only. Evil Bone Water is based on a classic herbal liniment formula used for generations to support circulation and ease general discomfort. Many of its herbs have been researched for their analgesic (comfort-supporting) properties, helping explain why this formula remains a favorite among herbal TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioners today.

What To Expect:

  • Reduction in swelling, bruising, redness and other inflammatory signs when used regularly on the area over a period of time.

Who Should Use This Product:

Those seeking a time-honored herbal liniment to maintain comfort and flexibility in muscles, joints, and skin.

When To Use It:

Typical application is 3-4x per day on the same area. However, EBW can cause dryness in excess of 3-4x per day. We advise application of moisturizer following use.

How to Use it:

  • In a wrap: Use as part of your routine skin care when dealing to reduce redness and swelling from bug bites, exposure to the elements or minor skin irritations. Saturate a gauze pad or cotton ball (depending on the size of the treatment area) and wrap it with plastic for a maximum of two hours at a time (usually, 15-20 minutes is fine). Be careful to protect furniture and clothing as EBW will stain.
  • As a spray: EBW makes a great quick-relief spray for insect bites—and it’s also an effective bug repellant! Once it dries, it’s not likely to stain.
  • As a soak: Soak your hands, feet, or body with EBW. Fill a basin with hot water before adding the EBW. Just a little is enough – add 30ml to your bath water or 10ml to a sink full.
  • Local Application: If you are using this on small areas, such as your wrist or a shoulder, soak a cotton ball with EBW and apply directly to the site. Try not to allow it to drip, as it will stain the fabric. You can also use a cloth, although cotton balls are generally more effective.

Cautions & Contraindications:

  • External use only.

  • May sting or burn when applied to open wounds, stitches or broken skin (especially initial application).

  • Staining risk: EBW can stain fabrics or surfaces because of the herbs found in it.

  • Pregnancy: Do not apply to the abdominal area during pregnancy. The brand allows use on the sacrum only.

  • Facial / eye area caution: Use carefully around the face; avoid contact with eyes.

  • Children: Keep out of reach of children.

  • Dryness: Overuse (e.g. more than 3–4 times per day) may cause dryness.

  • Potential Allergens: While all herbs have the potential to cause sensitivity, most users tolerate topical herbal products well. If you have sensitive skin or a history of allergies, test a small amount on the inner arm before regular use. Discontinue use if redness, itching, or irritation develops.
